Deploying updates

Updates are deployed to clocks through these mechanisms:

Webservice FileUpdate

In Webservice FileUpdate, update artifacts are uploaded to the Clock Update Folder. The clock that is connected to the WFM instance periodically checks for updates and retrieves the update artifacts from the update folder.

For Single tenant:

Determine the system download directory by checking or configuring this registry parameter:

/system/clocks/DOWNLOAD_DIR

Setup

Upload and organize the update artifacts in the Clock Update Folder according to these standards:

  • Artifact Tree: This structure manages the Update artifacts based on their Update Artifact Types.
  • Target Tree: This structure controls which Artifact folder is fetched by each Update Target.
