Job and Skill Sort Order
You can configure the Auto Assignment sort order for jobs and skills at the Team level. Access this field in WFM by selecting . The Auto Assignment Sort Order field is also configurable on the Job and Skill pages.
Use this field to control the relative priority used by Auto Assignment in matching employees to jobs and skills. Note that the value specified in Auto Assignment Sort Order does not directly enforce a strict order. Instead, it contributes to an internal score that the optimizer uses.
Use these rules when you configure the Job and Skill sort orders:
- A higher sort order value results to a higher priority score for the job or skill.
- The final assignment still depends on other factors such as employee sort order and additional internal rules.
- The Auto Assignment Sort Order field supports only whole numbers.
- If you specify 0 for any job or skill, the sort order value defaults to null and the job or skill is considered as the lowest priority.
- Duplicate values are not supported, except for blank values.
