Creating an Auto-Assignment schedule profile

Auto-Assignment schedule profiles are where you select which Auto-Assignment groups to use when scheduling one or more store locations.

  1. Select Scheduling > Auto-Assignment > Auto-assignment Schedule Profile.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Schedule Profile Name
Specify the name of the schedule profile.
    Schedule Profile Description
Specify a description of the schedule profile.
    Schedule Length
Specify the number of days covered by the schedules to generate.
Profile used for Batch schedule generation?
Select this check box to enable this profile for batch schedule generation.
    Min Transition Length (Hours)
Specify the minimum hours required between an employee's shifts.
    Max Transitions per Shift
Specify the number of shift transitions allowed within a single shift.
    Enforce Schedule Crossover
Select this check box to enable the generation of crossover shifts, which overlap the end of the current schedule period and continue into the next schedule period.
    Simple Scheduling
Select this check box to generate a simple schedule. This bypasses Auto Assignment's optimization engine and no longer requires Auto Assign Group.
  4. In the Staffing Requirement Generation Option field, select one of these options to determine the method to generate staff requirements:
    • Use existing unassigned shifts. Select this option to assign the unassigned shifts using Auto-Assignment.
    • Use staffing requirements minimum. Select this option to generate schedules based on the minimum staffing levels defined for the team.
    • Calculate requirements from forecast. Select this option to generate schedules based on forecasted workload data. Pre-existing workload requirements, created through forecasting, import, or manual setup, are used to determine staffing needs.
    • Use existing workload requirement. Select this option to generate schedules based on the team's existing interval requirements. Ensure workloads are created through forecasting, import, or manual setup before using this.
    • Use regular shift templates. Select this option to generate schedules using predefined shift templates. Any gaps between the current schedule and the shifts defined in the template are automatically filled.
    • Use replacement shift templates. Select this option to replace existing shifts using shift templates marked as replacement shifts. You can only use templates that have the Replacement Shifts option enabled.

  9. In the Team(s) section, click New Row.
  10. Select a team to schedule with this profile. The profile is used to generate a schedule for the corresponding store location.
