Push notifications

Capability overview

When an alert is configured with the Push notification type, WFM sends the alert to the Infor Go mobile application. The delivery uses the Infor Go notification service, and the alert is sent to targeted users who are logged into the Infor Go app.

No further setup is needed as long as push notifications are enabled in Infor Go.

How alert content is displayed

This list shows how push notifications use the alert message fields:

• Message Subject: Displayed as the notification title.
• Message Header: Displayed as the notification text.

This ensures that the notification shows the context the alert is intended to provide.

User experience in Infor Go

When a user clicks the Review button on their device, Infor Go automatically opens the relevant WFM experience:

• Self-service Portal
• Mobile WFM

The destination depends on how WFM is configured in the organization's Infor Go deployment.

For the notification to appear on a user’s phone:

• The user must be logged into the Infor Go app.
• Push notifications must be enabled in the app settings and allowed by the device.

System behavior and monitoring

This list shows how the system processes push notifications and the available options for monitoring:

• Push notifications are triggered when an alert task runs successfully.
• WFM does not generate internal task-level logs for the push request itself because the alert calls the Infor Go API directly.
• Confirmation that a push request reached Infor Go can be observed in the ION API Gateway Monitoring logs, where calls to the push notification endpoint appear with timestamps corresponding to alert activity.

This allows you to validate that push notifications were sent, even though message-level details are handled through the Infor Go infrastructure.
