Scheduling to specific labor metrics

When an employee is explicitly scheduled to a specific labor metric, such as a different job or team, only the specified metric or metrics are overridden by the schedule. All other labor metrics continue to use the employee’s EDLA assignment. This ensures that explicit scheduling takes priority, while default EDLA logic still applies to any metrics that are not specified.

For example, an employee is scheduled to work as a manager for part or all of the day. The schedule assigns the job labor metric for the scheduled period. As a result, the job field is overridden for that time. Other labor metrics, such as department, project, and docket, continue to use the employee’s EDLA configuration. EDLA percentage logic applies only to labor metrics that are not overridden by the schedule.

As a result, time may be fully assigned to the scheduled job, while other labor attributes continue to follow EDLA.
