Assigning shifts on the Open Shifts tab

  1. Open the Open Shift Manager through these portals:
    • Admin Portal: Select Scheduling > Shift Billboard > Open Shift Manager.
    • Self Service Portal: Select Scheduling > Open Shift Manager.
  2. Select Open Shifts tab.
  3. Select a shift card to assign.
  4. To assign a shift to an employee, click Assign.
  5. In the dialog box, to filter the employee list results, select the check box of these categories:
    • Available
    • Qualified by job
    • Qualified by skill
    • Team members only
    Note: When you do not select the Team members only check box, all employees from the teams that you can access are displayed in the employee list.
  6. Optionally, select a custom sort order in the Custom sort by: list to filter the employee list results. The options in this list are populated similar to the custom sort order in the Bids tab.
    Note: This field is hidden by default. To display the Custom sort by: field, click the Config Mode icon and configure the required security settings.
  7. In Employee(s), click the database lookup and select the employee to which you want to assign the shift.
  8. Click Save.
