Generate a schedule from a shift template for self-scheduling

You can create shifts for the self-scheduling process by generating the schedule from the shift template. Follow the steps in "Schedule generation" in the Infor Workforce Management Multiview Scheduler User Guide to generate a schedule for self-scheduling.

Select these options when generating the schedule:
  • In the Templates tab, select the check box for the shift templates to use to generate the schedule.
  • In the Generate tab, select the Generate unassigned shifts check box and select the Create as unpublished shifts option.

After the schedule has been generated, you can create a self-scheduling process to offer the shifts to employees.

Note: Booked-off shifts with Relief Not Needed (RNN) or Relief Not Found (RNF) status are handled during schedule generation by the configuration key SS_EXCLUDE_BOOKED_OFF_RNN_RNF_STATUSES setting. If set to True, booked-off RNN/RNF shifts are not counted as existing shifts. Replacement shifts are generated and made available for self-scheduling.

If set to False, booked-off RNN/RNF shifts are counted in the template requirements. No replacement shifts are generated, and those time slots remain unavailable for self-scheduling.

Partial booked-off shifts are treated as fully booked-off and partial hour support is not available.
