Configuring the Batch Shifts Generation task

Use this procedure to configure the batch shifts generation task to generate shifts on a regular schedule. This ensures that shifts, assigned or unassigned, are created on time and at a scale without manual intervention in Schedule Management.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Job Scheduler.
  2. Click Add Schedule.
  3. Specify descriptive name in the Task Description field.
  4. In the Task Type field, select Batch Shift Generation.
  5. Select a scheduler to run the task in the Task Affinity field.
  6. Click Set in Task Security to assign security permission to groups.
  7. In the Scheduling Time section, select one option.
  8. Optionally, in the Blackout Period section, select one option.
  9. In the Scheduling Range section, specify this information:
    Start On
    Select the date on which you want the task to begin running.
    End By
    Specify the end date on which you want the task to stop running. Or, leave the field blank to let the task run indefinitely.
  10. Select Submit, and click OK. Your scheduling task is added to the list of scheduled tasks on the Task Schedules page of the Job Scheduler.
