Float History
As of the 2026.04 release, when an employee is floated away from their home team, the float event is recorded through Float History. This enables you to view whose turn it is to float next and for how long they were floated.
Each float event is recorded with these key details:
- Employee and home team
- Team the employee is floated into
- Date and time of the floated shift
- Job role and shift details such as activity, flags, and UDFs
- Total hours worked on the floated shift
Float History is used to show either the date of an employee’s last float or the number of days since their last float, depending on how it is configured. This information helps make fair and consistent decisions about which employee should float next.
To ensure that a floated shift is included in the last float calculation, select the Counts Towards Last Float Date check box in the Activity Type Map.
See the Infor Workforce Management User and Administration Library (Multi-tenant) and select
Note: Float history is deleted if the associated shifts are deleted during schedule cleanup. Only float records for shifts that are still kept in the schedule are available for review.
