Schedule costing
The schedule costing information is displayed at the top of the ASV page in the Key Performance Indicators panel.
In ASV, cost is determined based on the combination of employee, scheduled times, and activity. When an employee is assigned to a shift with an activity that contributes to cost, that shift is included in the costing metrics. Cost and hours include non-MVS shifts.
When a shift with a cost-contributing activity is added, deleted, or modified, the schedule cost is recalculated based on the employee’s pay rate and associated pay rules. A visual indicator is displayed while the recalculation is in progress.
As of the 2026.04 release, the KPI_COST_CALCULATION_METHOD configuration key determines how KPI costs are calculated. Administrators select from Basic, Schedule-based, or Actual, a new method that uses persisted published and unpublished work details from the database instead of running the calculation engine on demand.
See the Infor Workforce Management User and Administration Library (Multi-tenant) and select .
Multi-view Rotation and One-time Schedule continue to use the MVS_PAY_RULE_BASED_SCHED_COST_CALC registry parameter.
Shifts with activities that do not contribute to cost are excluded from the costing metrics. Unassigned shifts are also excluded from the schedule cost.
