Creating clock presets
To simplify the recording of non-ON/OFF clocks, you can define additional clock presets. Each preset combines a clock type and optional clock data that is automatically included on the timesheet.
For example, you might create a clock preset named START BREAK with clock data TCODE=BRK. When a user selects the START BREAK clock preset on the timesheet, the Data field is automatically populated with TCODE=BRK.
Note: Clock preset security applies only to SSP Clocks FAB, and is not supported for Timesheet Clocks.
You can also specify a time code, a job, a department, a project, or a docket for a preset. The value that you specify is appended to the clock data string on the timesheet. For example, if you specify TECH in the Job field, JOB=TECH is appended to the clock data string.
Altering the data that is associated with an existing preset does not change that data on the timesheet for any existing clocks. On the timesheet, any existing clocks that match the preset are displayed using the preset name as the type.
Note: You cannot create a preset that contains the same clock type and data string as an existing preset. A match occurs if both strings contain the same value; an exact match is not required. For example, TCODE=BRK matches TCODE=BRK&SAMPLE=TEST because both strings contain TCODE=BRK.
