Using more than one finger for clock login

You can enroll more than one fingerprint on the clock. This makes it easier to use the clock if your usual finger is injured, dirty, or difficult for the reader to scan.

After you enroll multiple fingers, the clock accepts any of your enrolled fingers as a valid fingerprint when you:
  • Clock in or clock out
  • Perform self‑service tasks
  • Use any clock functions that require fingerprint verification

You do not have to tell the clock which finger you enrolled first. Simply place one of your enrolled fingers on the reader when prompted.

Finger limits on your clock

The number of fingerprints you can enroll depends on the clock series. For the 8000 series version, you can enroll up to five (5) fingerprints on the same type of fingerprint reader.

When you reach the maximum number of fingerprints for your clock series, you cannot add another finger of the same reader type until a supervisor or administrator removes an existing fingerprint.

If you are not sure how many fingerprints you have enrolled, or you need to remove one, contact your supervisor or system administrator.
