SHOW_BAL_DEDUCTIONS_TIMEOFF_AND_OVERRIDE_ONLY

This parameter controls which deductions the system includes in two places on the Time Off Calendar. It governs the Used value in the additional balance information card. It also governs the Remaining Balance calculation.

When you hover over a balance in the Current Balances section to the right of the calendar, this additional information is displayed:

• Accrued in current year
• Used in current year
• Current
• Future approved in current year

When set to TRUE , the system includes only deductions from approved time offs and balance overrides. The system excludes deductions from balance cascades and balance transfers. This exclusion applies to both the Used value and the Remaining Balance calculation. Excluded deductions include cap overflow or spillover hours. Spillover hours are accrual hours that exceed a plan's maximum balance cap. The system posts these hours as negative future-dated balance adjustments.

When set to FALSE , the system includes all deductions in both the Used value and the Remaining Balance calculation. These deductions include approved time offs, balance overrides, balance cascades, balance transfers, and cap overflow or spillover hours.

Set this parameter to TRUE when Future Approved must exclude non-time-off deductions, such as spillover hours. This setting keeps Remaining Balance consistent with the displayed Future Approved value.
