Creating an automation flow

  1. From the homepage, select Scheduling > Open Shift Automation.
  2. Click Create flow.
  3. In the Flow parameters section, specify this information:
    Enabled
    Select this to enable or disable the automation flow.

    Disabled flows are not used to process open shifts.

    Effective start
    Specify the first date the automation flow is available for use.
    Effective end date
    Specify the last date the automation flow is available for use.
    Flow name
    Specify a unique name for the automation flow.
    Flow description
    Provide a description for the automation flow.
    Mark shifts as Relief Not Found at end of flow
    Select this check box to mark an open shift with the Relief Not Found (RNF) status if the automation flow completes without filling the shift.
  4. To add team and job assignments to the automation flow, click + Add.

    Use this option when the same flow applies to multiple team and job combinations.

    Note: An automation flow must have at least one team and job assignment.
  5. Specify this information:
    Team
    Specify the team to which the automation flow applies.
    Apply to sub-teams
    Select this check box to apply automation flow to the selected team and all of its sub-teams.
    Job
    Specify the job to which the automation flow applies.
    Apply to associated jobs
    Select this check box to apply automation flow to the selected job and all associated jobs.
  6. Click Save flow.

Editing a flow

  1. From the homepage, select Scheduling > Open Shift Automation.
  2. Select an automation flow to edit.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. On the Flow parameters tab, update the required fields.
  5. Click Save.
  6. On the Flow steps tab, select the flow step and click the Edit button.
  7. Update the required fields.
  8. Click Save step.
  9. Click Save flow.
