Drill-back links in My Week widgets
The My Week widget includes drill-back functionality, which enhances navigation and improves the overall user experience by providing direct access to detailed views within the WFM application. Drill-back refers to the ability to move from summary-level information in one interface to detailed data in another, streamlining how users interact with their schedules.
In this widget, scheduled items, such as shifts, open shifts, and time-off entries, are presented in a calendar-style layout and act as drill-back links. When users click on any of these items, they are automatically redirected to the corresponding screen in the WFM application, with the relevant date pre-selected for context.
This table shows the supported drill-back links and their destination views in WFM:
Item | Destination View in WFM |
---|---|
Scheduled Shifts | Schedule View |
Open Shifts | Billboard View |
Time-Off Entries | Schedule View |
With this functionality, users can access detailed scheduling and time-off information without navigating through multiple menus. By reducing clicks and improving efficiency, drill-back links support a more seamless and proactive approach to managing work schedules.
