Availability

As an employee, you can use the Availability page to record your availability pattern for scheduling purposes. The Availability calendar shows the availability of the employee, LTAs, and holidays.
You can use the Availability page to complete these tasks:
  • Specify your default availability pattern, which defines when you are generally available to work.
  • Specify a temporary availability pattern for specific days or time periods when your availability changes from your default availability.
  • Override availability settings for a specific day when you are available or not available to work outside of your default pattern.
Note:  You can modify your own availability patterns, subject to the supervisor’s approval. Only SYSTEM ADMINS and users in the custom security group GLOBAL ADMINS are authorized to modify the availability pattern without supervisor approval.
As a supervisor, you can submit and approve your own availability without further approval if these requirements are met:
  • The registry parameter CAN_SUPERVISOR_APPROVE_OWN_AVAILABILITY is set to TRUE.
  • The Supervisor Role is enabled through Maintenance > Security > Team Security > Role Definitions.

See the Infor Workforce Management User and Administration Library (Multi-tenant) and select Administrator > Time and Attendance Implementation > System security > Security levels > Team security > Creating employee roles.

Week start day for Availability calendar

You can use the DAY_WEEK_STARTS registry parameter to set the first day of the week that is displayed in the calendar in the Availability page. For example, if the first day of the week is set to Monday, then the week displayed in the calendar starts on Monday and ends on Sunday.

See the Infor Workforce Management User and Administration Library (Multi-tenant) and select Administrator > Registry Parameters > Platform Registry Parameters > DAY_WEEK_STARTS.

To enable the DAY_WEEK_STARTS registry parameter, you must set the DAY_WEEK_STARTS_BY_LOCALE registry parameter to FALSE. If the DAY_WEEK_STARTS_BY_LOCALE registry is set to TRUE, the week start date based on the user locale is used.

See the Infor Workforce Management User and Administration Library (Multi-tenant) and select Administrator > Registry Parameters > Platform Registry Parameters > DAY_WEEK_STARTS_BY_LOCALE.
