Creating a prompt page for the Team parameter

Creating a prompt page for the Team parameter adds a prompt for the report user to select one or more teams. The report only returns results for teams that the user selects when running the report. The Team parameter prompt displays the team names and translates the selected names to the corresponding team key (WBT_ID).

  1. Click Report > Prompt Pages > Prompt Page.
  2. Click Page design.
  3. Click Toolbox and drag the Text item object into the third row of the table.
  4. Specify Team: in the text box and click OK.
  5. Expand Prompting and drag the Select & search prompt object into the fourth row of the table.
  6. In the Prompt Wizard - Select & search prompt pop-up, select the Use existing parameter option and then specify the Team parameter.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select the Create new query option and then specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the name of your new query.
    Values to use
    Displays the value for the Team parameter value that was defined earlier. Leave the default value, which is [Work].[Team].[WBT_ID].
    Values to display
    Click … and select Ad-Hoc Query Layer > Work > Team > Team Name.
  9. Click Finish.
