Creating presets

You can save your current selections as a preset to manage the same schedule in the future.

  1. Select Scheduling Multi-view Scheduler > Central Staffing > Central Staffing.
  2. Select a date using the Calendar icon to view the schedule.
  3. Select the time range using the Clock icon or arrows to view the schedule.
  4. Click Selection Parameters to specify the parameters of the schedule to view.
  5. Optionally, click the Selection Criteria to specify the parameters in the Float Pool section.
Note: You must select at least one unit to save your selections in the Schedule Zone and Float Pool as a preset.
  6. Click Load.
  7. Click the Add Preset button.
The Preset Definition window opens and displays the currently selected time range and units selected in the Schedule Zone and Float Pool Zone.
  8. Select New and specify this information:
    Preset Name
Specify a name for your preset.
    Date Offset
Specify 0 if you want the preset to load the schedule for the current date when the preset is opened. You can specify several offset days if you want the preset to load the schedule for a date relative to the current date. For example, specify 1 to load tomorrow's schedule when the preset is opened, or specify -1 to load yesterday's schedule.
    Selection Parameters and Sort
Select this check box to save the selection parameters and sort criteria for the Schedule Zone as part of the preset. If this check box is clear, the preset only saves the unit selections, time range, and date offset.
Float Pool Selection Parameters and Sort
Select this check box to save the options that are currently selected in the Float Pool Zone in the preset, including the float pool unit, selection criteria, and sort criteria. A float pool unit must be selected to use this option.
  9. Click Save Preset.
The preset is created and opens to load the saved schedule options.
