- Load a schedule for the schedule period and team(s) to which you want to auto-assign employees to unstaffed shifts.
- Select Day Part, Scheduled Team, or Job Requirements from the View drop-down list.
- Click Auto Assign.
The Auto Assign Selection Criteria panel is displayed.
- Do one of the following:
- From the Job Requirements view, select the team/job time combination(s) from the Teams and Job Times list to which you want to auto-assign employees.
- From the Scheduled Team view, select the team(s) from the Teams list to which you want to auto-assign employees.
- From the Day Part view, select the team and day part combination(s) to which you want to auto-assign employees.
- Select the individual check box(es) for the days on which you want the auto-assignment to take place. To select the entire schedule period, click All Days. (Clicking this button again toggles the entire schedule period to unselected.)
- Select the algorithm to use for auto assignment from the Algorithm drop-down list. Possible options are default and custom.
- Click Auto-Assign to automatically assign unassigned employees to appropriate unstaffed shifts.
After the execution of auto-assignment, any resulting violations will be shown.
- On completion, the Auto Assign Summary panel shows you how successful the auto-assign operation was.
- You can also undo the auto-assign operation at this point if you want to try again.
Clicking Undo only undoes one level of (the last) auto-assign action. The Undo feature is disabled if you perform any edits on the schedule or if you load a new schedule after performing an auto-assign action.
