Time Off Planner

Time off requested by employees who are scheduled using MVS can generate relief shifts when a request has been approved (this process is similar to the results of a book-off transaction). The request also creates corresponding locks on the MVS shifts that are involved in the pending time off requests, as well as cancellation requests.

To enable this feature, set the /system/modules/timeOffPlanner/PLUGINS registry parameter to es-mvsTimeOffPlannerPlugin. This setting enables the MVS-specific relief generation feature.

As of 2024.04, you can also enable this feature using the ta-top-plugin extension script.

If this feature is enabled, you can also optionally use the CONDITIONAL_APPROVAL_ENABLED registry parameter (/system/modules/emvs/CONDITIONAL_APPROVAL_ENABLED) to identify time off requests that are conditionally approved.

A time off request is considered conditionally approved if the supervisor selects Unfilled or Pending as the relief status. The employee receives a notification when a request is conditionally approved, and the time off request is marked in a darker shade of green in the calendar to indicate the conditional approval.

For more details on setting these parameters, see the Infor Workforce Management Registry Parameter Reference Guide. For information on creating extension scripts, see the Infor Workforce Management Custom Scripting Developer Guide.

MVS can also display long-term absences (LTAs) created in the Time Off Planner. The LTA time codes are shown in the ASV and Central Staffing. The MR and OTS detect LTAs as conflicts when trying to assign shifts to employees with LTAs in the date range of the shifts.

In the Staffing Center a central scheduler can view an employee’s current LTAs and future LTAs when assigning open shifts.
