Auto-assignment groups

Auto-assignment groups define which employees are eligible for scheduling and establish the rules for assigning shifts and breaks. A single store can have multiple groups based on job roles, and one group can also be used to schedule across multiple stores in the same area.

Auto-assignment groups are used by the Auto-Assignment model when generating schedules for locations. Auto-Assignment groups determine which employees to select when generating a schedule. Auto-Assignment groups also determine the rules that govern the creation and assignment of shifts and breaks.

Auto-Assignment groups must be created for each store that is using the Auto-Assignment model to generate schedules. A store may have more than one Auto-Assignment group. For example, different groups can be created to assign employees that have different jobs within the store. Additionally, schedules can be generated for multiple stores from a single Auto-Assignment group. For example, this can be used to schedule multiple stores in the same city from a shared pool of employees.
