Setting up Custom Lookup Data Type imports

Follow these steps to import Custom Lookup Data Type information from a CSV file.

  1. Create the CSV Custom Lookup Data Type import file.
    You must create the Custom Lookup Data Type CSV import file according to the file format specifications. See Custom Lookup Data Type field specifications.
  2. Create a Java task in the job scheduler using the Aggregate Task option.
  3. Click the Parameters button for the new task.
  4. Select Import Task and Interface Task in the Available Task Types column and click Add/Remove.
  5. Click Configure Selected Tasks.
  6. Click Parameters for the Import Task.
  7. Specify this information:
    Import Type
    Select WFM WB CUSTOM LOOKUP DATA TYPE IMPORT.
    Use Default Transformer?
    Select this check box.
    File Name
    Specify the path to the import CSV file on the job scheduler.
    UTF-Encoded
    Select this check box.
    Performs Difference
    Clear this check box.
  8. Click Submit then click OK.
  9. Click Parameters for the Interface Task.
  10. For the Interface Type, select WFM WB CUSTOM LOOKUP DATA TYPE IMPORT. Click Next.
  11. For the Mapping Name, select WFM WB CUSTOM LOOKUP DATA TYPE MAPPING.
  12. Click Submit and then click OK.
  13. Click Back.
  14. Click Save.
  15. Run the task.
    The task runs and adds or updates the Custom Lookup Data Type information in the CSV file.
    Details about the job, including errors, can be found in these ways:
    • Click the Logs button to check the log for the file.
    • Navigate to Maintenance > System Administration > Interfaces > Import Transactions
    Note: If errors occurred when the job was run, the most likely cause is a mistake in the CSV file. Check the file and rerun the job when the error is corrected.
After the import is complete, you can view the added or updated information on the Custom Lookup Data Type page. Navigate to Maintenance > System Administration > Client Data > Custom Lookup Data Type.
