Configuration updates for the clock
A configuration update allows you to apply custom settings or install custom files on the clock to meet business requirements. Typically, custom settings or files reside in the /conf or /resources directory of the ZIP file received from Infor.
To apply a configuration update, a conf, resource and script directory are created in the base upgrade location. These directories include new or updated files. Any files included in these directories are copied to the corresponding locations on the clock in the clock install directory /opt/infor/clock.
Configuration files for hardware clocks (clock.xml, clock.properties) may change in structure or field names with each software update. For every update, you must rebuild your custom configurations based on the matching version of the clock software. Avoid reusing or inheriting configurations from previous versions, as this may lead to compatibility issues or missing features.
When a configuration update is completed, the clocks re-initializes for the changes to take effect.
