Migrating staff groups using the Convert LFSO to Auto Assignment task

Use the Convert LFSO to Auto Assignment task to convert LFSO staff groups to Auto-Assignment groups and profiles. This task does not result to the full migration of staff groups to Auto-Assignment groups. You still have to configure task parameters related to employee flag filters and mapping.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Job Scheduler.
  2. Click Add Schedule.
  3. In Task Description, specify a name for the task.
  4. In Task Type, select ConvertLFSOToAutoAssignment.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. In Task Schedules, locate the task that you created and click Parameters.
  7. Specify these parameters for the task:
    Report Name
    Specify a name for the migration report generated after running the task.
    Report Location
    Specify a file path to save the report. Ensure that the location is accessible and writable.
    Do NOT convert groups with no employees attached
    Select this option to skip converting staff groups without assigned employees.
    Add Full/Part Time filter deriving from staff group name
    Select this option to apply a full-time or part-time filter to the Auto-Assignment group based on keywords in the staff group name.
    Review migration report without conversion
    Select this option to generate a preview of the report without saving any changes. Use this to check the conversion before applying it.
  8. In the Naming Convention for Auto Assignment Group section, specify this information:
    Search
    Specify a keyword to identify parts of the staff group name to replace. Special characters are supported.
    Replace
    Specify the replacement text for the matched keyword in the staff group name. When you leave this field blank, the matched keywords are removed from the Auto-Assignment group names.
  9. Click Submit.
  10. In Task Schedules, locate the task that you created and click Run.
    A message in the task log is displayed indicating that the conversion of staff groups into Auto-Assignment groups was successful. However, manual intervention is still required to map employees to Auto-Assignment group filters by accessing the report in your specified location.
    When existing team or location profiles are detected, conversion is skipped. The same rule applies when Auto-Assignment groups with the same name already exists in the system.
