Scheduling archiving jobs

After you have defined an archive policy, you must schedule an archive task in the Job Scheduler.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Job Scheduler.
  2. Click Add Schedule.
  3. Select Archive Policy Runner from the Task Type list.
  4. Specify the scheduling parameters for the task and click Submit.

  5. In the Task Schedules grid, click the Parameters button for the task that you just added.
  6. Specify this information:
    Archive Policies
    Specify the policies to run. If no policies are specified, then all policies are run.

    By default, the Archive Policies value is set to ALL. We recommend that the Archive Policies value remain set to ALL. This setting makes the registry value for archive boundary date (ARCHIVE_BOUNDARY_DATE) an accurate representation of the data state.

    Select one of these options:
    • Specify the number of days back to archive.
    • Specify a date from which to archive records.
  7. Click Submit.
