Step 4: Importing the contents of the Inbound Migration file

To import the contents of the Inbound Migration file into the target instance of WFM, you must Select Migration, View Records, and Review:

  1. In WFM, select Maintenance > System Administration > Data Migration > Migration Import > Import Inbound Migration.
  2. In the Inbound Migration Name field, select the name of the Inbound Migration to import.
  3. Click +Add and Close.
  4. In the Import Note field, specify a brief description of the import.
  5. Click Next to show the View Records wizard. The wizard only shows tables, not functional objects, and enables you to view these information:
    • Records for each table displayed as tabs across the screen
    • Operation type for each record: Insert, Update, and Delete
  6. Click the arrow icon to view the record details.

The View Records Comparison window shows the Field Name, Old Value before migration, New Value after migration, and Changed flag.

The View Records Comparison window also shows the total number of fields changed.

Note: As of release 2024.09, you can use the Changed column to review the differences between the source and the target records. This feature is not available for migrations performed before this release.
  7. Optionally, click the Changed column to sort the records based on the statuses. These statuses show the fields where the values differ between the target and the source.
Note: Changes to the UTC_INSERT_DATE and UTC_UPDATE_DATE fields are not reflected in the list of records.
  8. Click Close to exit the screen.
  9. Use the check box in the column to select or clear all records. You can also select specific records to import.
Note: For regular migrations, dependencies are modified based on a decision table.

For delete migrations, if deselected records have dependencies, those dependencies are also skipped.

    See Data migration decision table.

  10. Click Next to show the Review screen of the wizard where you can review the records of the migration.
  11. Click Migrate to finish the migration which is completed by the Job Scheduler.
  12. To view the details of the migration, select Maintenance > System Administration > Job Scheduler.

In the Job Scheduler task list, the Migrate Task automatically runs and completes the migration. A workmail is sent after completing the migration

Note: As of release 2025.01, the detail logs from the Migration tasks provide the root cause of the error instead of a generic error message. As a system administrator or user, use this information to correctly debug issues and find appropriate resolutions.
See the Infor Workforce Management User and Administration Library (Multi-tenant) and select Administrator > Time and Attendance.
