Running an Export Task with PGP Encryption Enabled

These export tasks support PGP encryption:

  • ERP Work Detail Export
  • ACA SERVICE HOURS EXPORT
  • BUDGET EXPORT
  • HR EXPORT
  • Export Task (CSV Query)
  • Export Task (Fixed Width Query)
  • Payroll Export Task
  • Payroll Export Enhanced Task

  1. As a system administrator within WFM, navigate to Maintenance > System Administration > Job Scheduler.
  2. From the list, locate and select the export task to run and select Parameters for the task.
  3. Click the Turn ON config mode gear icon Config mode gear icon to enable config mode for the displayed fields.
  4. Click the lock icon Lock icon for the PGP Encrypt File check box.
  5. In the Security Configuration window, you can determine which security groups have access to the PGP Encrypt File check box by selecting the Act option for the Permission Flag.
  6. Click the config mode gear icon Config mode gear icon once again to exit config mode.
  7. When you are ready to schedule and run the export task, select the PGP Encrypt File check box and select the PGP Key associated with the task. Click Submit.
  8. Click Ok.
    When the export task runs, the exported file is encrypted using the stored PGP public key.
    Note: When PGP encryption is enabled, all the encrypted files are exported with an extension of .enc unless it is changed. You can export the encrypted files with an extension of .pgp or .gpg, you can use the EXPORT_ENCRYPTED_FILE_FORMAT registry to specify this file extension.
