Creating subreports

Note: When adding multiple subreports to a single report, you may be required to adjust the width and height of the report in Report Settings.

To add two reports into a single report:

  1. Open a new report and click on Add Subreport.
  2. You may see message asking you to adjust the report width and height before adding the subreport. If this is the case, you can do the following:
    • To modify the height, you can go to Report Settings > Band Properties.
    • To modify the width, you can go to Report Settings > Layout.
  3. You can now try to add the subreport again and also add another subreport into a single report.
  4. Click on Results to see the two subreports within a single report.
  5. Select Save and select the report folder where you would like to save the report.
  6. Enter the report name and select Save.
Note: The procedures and steps in this section use the new HTML 5 designer in Birst. Steps may differ if you are using the Classic designer in Birst. If you need more detailed information on authoring Designer reports in Birst, see the Birst Designer User Guide for your version of Birst.
