OPT_ALGORITHM

This parameter determines the algorithm used by the Optimizer to generate an initial relaxed solution to a scheduling problem. While the relaxed solution is always the same for a given schedule, the choice of algorithm can change the length of time needed to find the relaxed solution.

Do not change this parameter value before contacting Infor Consulting Services.

• 2 - Dual simplex
• 3 - Primal simplex
• 4 - Barrier (For some problems, the barrier algorithm can work faster. However, this algorithm consumes significantly more memory.)
