File Transfer Task

This feature is deprecated as of the current release of WFM. In addition, this task should only be used when FTP is required. If SFTP is required, you must use the Secure File Transfer Task. For more information, see Secure File Transfer Task.

Run the File Transfer task to transfer files to a specified domain or server using a pre-configured FTP or SFTP server. If you choose to transfer the files with SFTP, SSH is used.

Before you run the File Transfer Task, the files must exist in the configured source folder and match the specified file pattern. If the files are found, a file transfer connection is opened. If no files are found, the connection is not opened.

You can schedule the File Transfer Task to import transaction files from the external system to the WFM application or export files from the application to the external system.

Note: Before scheduling this task, you must configure an FTP or SFTP server that is accessible by the Workforce Management application. Consult your FTP or SFTP vendor documentation.
