Compare source and target data during deployment

During the deployment process, in the COMPARE_SOURCE_TARGET stage, you can evaluate differences between the source and target data, provided the Generate Compare Report check box was selected earlier. In this stage, you can also choose to continue with the deployment, review the compare report, or abort the deployment entirely.

When you select Review Compare Report, a visual comparison is displayed. Updates are highlighted in orange, while inserts appear in green. Deletions are not included. You can filter the view using the Show only diff check box, which limits the display to only the tables with differences. When the check box is cleared, the view expands to show all tables relevant to the selected data set, even if they weren’t part of the original export. For a more detailed review, you can download the report as a spreadsheet, which includes table names, types, and specific data differences.

After reviewing the report, you can click Continue Deployment, which prompts you to confirm your decision. Selecting Yes allows the process to move forward. Alternatively, if you identify issues, you can click Abort Deployment, which also requires confirmation before the process is canceled. Once you choose to continue, the deployment enters the VALIDATE stage. The system checks the package and, upon successful validation, automatically triggers the deployment. Status updates for each stage are displayed, and refreshing the page is necessary to see the latest progress.
