Creating a reader configuration

  1. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Reader Configurations > Reader Configuration Setup.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Configuration Name
    Specify a name for the reader configuration.
    Version
    This is a read-only field that specifies the version of the reader configuration.
    Description
    Enter a description for the reader configuration.
    Reader Type
    Specify the type of clock reader for which you are defining the configuration, such as WB8000 or TimeTrack.
    Configuration Reference
    Specify an existing reader configuration to use as the reference for a new reader configuration. You must first specify a reader type, and you can then specify an existing configuration that has been defined for that reader type. The new reader configuration uses the values from the referenced configuration as a starting point.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click Add below the Reader Groups grid.
    The Reader Groups grid appears below the Configuration Properties grid.
  6. Specify this information:
    Reader Group
    Specify the reader group with which the configuration is associated.
    Start Date
    Specify the effective date of the configuration for the reader group.
  7. Click Save.
