Archiving
In multi-tenant Workforce Management:
- Core archiving policies are in effect, but cannot be modified from the Workforce Management application.
- If the core archiving policies are not sufficient for your business requirements, please contact the Infor Cloud team so that a more thorough assessment of your needs can be completed.
When you set a policy to Archive, it automatically performs both Archiving and Purge Archive actions as part of its standard execution cycle. The Archive process moves eligible records, based on the defined WHERE condition, from the Workbrain schema to the Archive schema.
Immediately after archiving, the Purge Archive executes using the same table’s WHERE condition and purge aging configuration. This behavior is part of the default design, so you do not need any additional or custom configuration for Purge Archive when the policy type is Archive.
If you see Purge Archive transactions under an Archive-type policy, consider this expected and standard behavior, it does not indicate an error or misconfiguration. For policies of type Purge, no Purge Archive action takes place.
Archiving Full Task
This default archiving task is scheduled to run weekly on Sundays at 5 am, based on the system timezone. This task runs all archiving policy definitions that are marked as by default for multi-tenant deployments. The value in the parameters of the task allows you to specify the number of days before data is removed from the core database schema to the archive schema.
