Save Configuration File

The Save Configuration File option allows you to save your new configuration settings to the Migration Tool configuration file (migrationTool.xml) at any time during the migration process. By default, the migration tool configuration file is saved to the base path from where the Migration Tool is running. For more information about the Migration Tool configuration file, see Migration Tool Files.

To save a configuration file:

  1. Select Administration > Save Configuration File.
    The file name defaults to the current Migration Tool configuration file name.
  2. Select one option:
    • To save your new configuration settings over the existing configuration settings, click Save.
    • To save your new configuration settings to a completely new file, specify the new file name in the File Name field and then click OK. The Migration Tool will then automatically reference the new file.
