Importing a migration file

The Import Migration File maintenance form is used to import encrypted migration files. The server where you are performing the import must have the private PGP key that corresponds with the public key that was used to encrypt the migration file.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Import Migration File.
  2. Click Browse File.
  3. Select the migration file and click Open.
  4. Click Import.
    The selected migration file is checked to ensure that it was exported from a compatible database and that the application server has the required private key. If no issues are found, a message is displayed to indicate that the application has started processing the file.
  5. Click OK.
The contents of the migration file are decrypted and imported to the database. When the import is finished, a Workmail message is sent including the status of the import along with the number of records updated, inserted, and deleted.
