Setting system timeouts

The application timeout setting determines the length of time that can elapse while a user is logged on, but the application is idle, before the user is automatically logged out. When the application times out, the user must log in again to continue working.

Note: System timeout values for individual pages can be found in the WORKBRAIN_PAGE table.

To set an application timeout:

  1. Navigate to the page for which you want to set the application timeout.
  2. Click Turn ON Config Mode.
  3. Click the page's name link, which is found near the top of the page.
  4. Specify the application timeout in seconds in the Page Timeout field.
  5. Click Save and then click Turn OFF Config Mode.
    If a system timeout value is set at the application server level, that value overrides the user's personal setting and applies to the entire application.
