Creating security groups from existing groups

To simplify security group creation, we recommend that you use the Copy Security Group page. This page lets you use an existing security group as a template. If you select the most similar security group as the template, you can minimize the configuration time for the new security group you create.

Note: When you add a custom security group, default permissions for the new group are added for forms and elements throughout the system. You should review these permissions to ensure that they are set according to your requirements.
  1. Select Maintenance > Security > Group Security > Copy Security Group.
  2. Specify the name and description of the new security group in the Name and Description fields.
  3. Select the security group that you want to copy from the Template Group list and click Go.
    The application creates the security group and displays a blank Create Group page for you to continue copying security groups.
  4. Select Maintenance > Security > Group Security > Security Group.
  5. Click Edit next to the new security group and modify the fields as required.
  6. Click Save.
