Workmail messages
You can view two types of Workmail messages:
- Mail: Incoming messages and reports
- Forms or interactions: Electronic form requests
The Inbox uses these icons:
- : A sealed red envelope to represent unread messages
- : An open blue envelope to represent messages that have been read
- : An image of a person to represent a form
Mail messages
Workmail mail messages contain incoming text-related information that is sent by other application users. After reading a mail message, you can perform any of these common e-mail actions:
- Reply to the sender.
- Forward the message to one or more application users.
- Move the message to another Workmail folder.
- Delete the message.
- Select the previous or next Inbox message.
- Close the current message and return to the main Inbox page.
Form messages
Workmail form or interaction messages are routed directly to users that perform authorization using the automated application workflow system.
The user who initiated a form request can use Workmail to:
- View the related status (including which user currently holds the routed form).
- View the form details (if the form is configured with this functionality).
The user who receives the request from a reporting team member can:
- View the form details (if the form is configured with this functionality).
- Respond to the request by clicking the available options (usually these options are configured as and , but can be configured as required).
- Use the Batch Approvals page to respond to multiple form requests at once.
The application automatically routes the response through the appropriate workflow channels back to the user who made the request.
