Creating a self-scheduling process
- Select Scheduling > Self-Scheduling > Process.
- Click Create New Entry.
- Specify the unit or team for this process in the Unit field.

Select the period to be scheduled in this self-scheduling process by selecting
one of these options:
- Schedule Period
- Select this option and specify the schedule period.
- Start & End Dates
- Select this option and specify the start and end date for the self-scheduling period.
- Optionally, specify another self-scheduling process from the Copy Window Definition field. If this option is selected, the new process copies the windows from the specified process to determine when self-scheduling is available for employees.
- Click Create New Process.
- Specify the name of the self-scheduling process in the Process Name field.
- Optionally, specify a description for the process in the Process Description field.

In the Self Scheduling Window Definition
panel, specify this information:
- Window Start Date

Specify the first date and time on which an employee is allowed to self-schedule for this schedule period.
- Window End Date

Specify the last date and time after which no employees are allowed to self-schedule for this schedule period.
- Group Set
- Optionally, specify the self-scheduling group set to assign all its groups to the process. If a group set is specified, a window is created for each group.
- Click Add Window to add a self-scheduling window to the process.

Specify this information to configure the window:
- Group Name
- Specify a group for this self-scheduling window.
- Window Start
- Specify the start date and time that members of the group can access self-scheduling for this process.
- Opening Message
- Specify the workmail message that group members receive to notify them of the opening of the self-scheduling process.
- Send Bef. Open
- Specify the number of days before the window start time when members of the group are notified that the window is opening.
- Window End
- Specify the end date and time when members of the group can no longer access the self-scheduling process.
- Closing Message
- Specify the workmail message the group members receive to notify them of the closing of the self-scheduling process.
- Send Bef. Close
- Specify the number of days before the window end time when members of the group are notified that the window is closing.
- Repeat steps 10 to 11 as needed to add additional windows to the self-scheduling process. Different windows can be created for each group to give certain groups access to the self-scheduling process at different times. For example, to give employees with seniority an earlier chance to select shifts.

In the Self Scheduling Shift Selection panel, specify the
shifts to be offered for each job during the self-scheduling process using one
of these methods:
- Click Offer all to offer all the shifts available for a job during the self-scheduling process.
- Expand a job and specify the number of shifts for each day that you would like to offer.
- Click Save to save the self-scheduling process.
After creating a process, you can open it to start the self-scheduling process.
