Canceling booked time off using Mass Edit

You can cancel time off for multiple booked off shifts in Mass Edit mode. The validations performed when canceling book offs in Mass Edit mode are the same validations performed when canceling a book off for a single shift. The cancel book off transaction cannot be performed if any of the selected shifts fail validation.

  1. Display the schedule in ASV that has the shifts that you want to cancel book offs for.
    See Displaying schedules with ASV.
  2. Click Edit Mode > Mass Edit.
    The pencil icon for mass edits is displayed.
  3. Click one or more booked off shifts to select them.
  4. Click the pencil icon for mass edits and select Cancel Book-Off.
  5. Select the check box for each shift for which you want to cancel the book off. Clear the check box for shifts that you want to remain booked off.
  6. For shifts where the associated relief shift has already been assigned, select the action required status for the relief shift using the Relief Option drop down. Select AR relief to set the status of the relief shift to action required. Select Retain Relief to keep the relief shift as an ad-hoc shift.
  7. For shifts where the booked off shift was created from a approved time off request that is recallable, select Cancel Request to recall the time off request, or select Keep Request to set the status of the time off request to Pending Approval.
  8. Click Submit.
The book offs are canceled for the selected shifts if all shifts pass the required validations. If any of the shifts fail validation, a pop-up is displayed listing the shifts that cannot pass validation.
