Assign employees to unstaffed shifts
You can use auto-assignment to assign employees to unstaffed shifts based on staffing requirements, skills, and availability in the following circumstances:
- Initially viewing and working with a schedule that contains a series of unstaffed shifts, such as those created by a weekly batch process. For more information about the batch process, see Creating Unstaffed Shifts Using the Batch Process.
- Dealing with absences, scheduling changes, or other last minute staffing requirements during the weekly or daily scheduling routine. For a typical example, see Scenario 3 - Automatically Assigning Employees.
