Balance Validation

The balance to be deducted in a partial day scenario is not influenced by unpaid time. Consider the following employee schedule:

0900-1200, WRK (regular)

1200-1300, BRK (unpaid)

1300-1700, WRK (regular)

In this case, if the LTA created through the book-off process specified 0900-1700, then the corresponding absence would have a duration of 8 hours. As such, the number of hours to be deducted from any associated balance is 8 hours. If the projected balance, prior to this deduction, was less than 8 hours (and the minimum was set to 0), then the book-off process would fail and an error would be displayed. A partial absence would not be created.
