Offering a shift

After Mobile Shift Offer is set up, employees can be contacted about unassigned shifts.

  1. Select Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Schedule > View a Schedule and select the schedule you would like to edit.
  2. Click an unassigned shift.
  3. Click Broadcast Shift.
    The Broadcast Shift pop-up is displayed.
  4. Select the Show Qualified Only check box to only show employees that have the job qualification required to perform the shift.
  5. Select the Show Available Only check box to only show employees that are available during the shift time.
  6. Select the employees that you would like to contact about the shift in the Employee Selection field.
  7. Select the Auto-approve Compliance Warnings check box to have the system automatically approve any schedule compliance warnings caused by an employee claiming the shift.
  8. Specify the amount of time in minutes that you want hold the offer open in the Offer Window field.
    The time when the offer closes is displayed in the Approx. Closing Time field.
  9. Click Offer.
The shift is broadcast to the selected employees. A lock icon is displayed on the shift to indicate that the shift is locked. The lock is displayed for the duration of the offer as specified in the Offer Window field.
