Adding promotion dates

You can add past promotions to the Promotion Calendar to ensure that they are considered during the training process. You can add future promotion dates so they will be considered when the forecast is generated for those dates. Before you can add promotion dates, you must configure at least one promotion category.

  1. Select Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Forecast > Promotion Setup > Promotion Calendar.
  2. Select the location that you would like to add promotions for and click Go.
  3. Expand the Edits section.
  4. Click the + button to add a new promotion date.
  5. Specify this information:
    Start Date
    Enter the date when the promotion started or starts in the future.
    End Date
    Enter the date when the promotion ended or ends in the future.
    Promotion Category
    Select a promotion category to apply to this promotion.
    Include Sublocations
    Enable the check box to also apply this promotion to sub-locations of this location.
  6. Click Save.
The promotion is saved to the Promotion Category.
