employee
A person who works for the company and is identified by a unique
identification number.
hour type
A code that specifies how to pay the employee for a
period of time. Workforce Management defaults are Regular Time, Overtime (1.5 x
Base Rate), Double Time (2.0 x Base Rate), and Unpaid.
irregular time code
A time code that a system administrator marks to be
tracked in Exception reports and on the daily timesheet.
overtime
Any increase in an employee's pay rate as compensation for
working longer than their regular shift or week. Overtime is recorded in
Workforce Management with hour types that system administrators set up as
indicating overtime.
pay group
A group of employees who are treated similarly by
payroll. Payroll groups are segments of the employee population for whom
payroll processes can be run at a given time.
sub team
A team that is defined as a part of a larger
team.
team
A group of employees who have the same security
permissions within Workforce Management. Team members also have the same
supervisor for tasks such as approving timesheets.
time code
A code that is used to classify the activity that an
employee performed during a period of time. Common codes record work and break
time, vacation, and sick days.
