Starting and ending breaks
The process for starting or ending a break is very similar to clocking in and clocking out.
To record the time that you start or end your break on the TimeTrack clock:
- Access the TimeTrack clock in a browser on your supported device. For more information on how to do this, see Accessing the TimeTrack clock.
- Select the or icon.
- Enter your badge number and select .
- If PIN authentication is enabled, enter your PIN and select .
- If your Start Meal or End Meal punch is successful, a confirmation message is displayed on the screen showing your name, badge number, type of punch, and the date and time of the punch. Select to acknowledge the confirmation.
If your punch is not successful, an error message is displayed on the screen. Error messages vary depending on the type of error and the configuration of the clock. For example, you may receive this error:
- Invalid Badge
The clock reader does not recognize your ID or badge. Ensure that you are specifying your badge correctly. Try the punch again. If you receive the same error message, contact your supervisor.
- It is too early to return from break.
You are not scheduled to return from your break. Contact your supervisor.
