Troubleshooting error messages

The following table describes the possible symptoms and solutions to commonly-occurring clock problems:

Symptom	Solution
No display on clock.	Check the power cord.
Clock not connecting to clock server.	Make sure the network cable is plugged into the Snap port of the LINC. Ensure all network settings are correctly entered into the clock. Replace the network cable.
Clock not reading badges.	Make sure the barcode is not damaged or faded. Make sure badges are swiped correctly with the barcode facing down and to the right. Try cleaning the reader head with a cotton swab and 95% isopropyl alcohol. Use a can of compressed air to remove dust and dirt from the reader slot.
Buttons not working.	Inspect the buttons for possible damage. Do not use a pen since it can permanently damage the buttons. Press harder on the keypad to ensure a confirmation beep is heard for each key press.
