Improving performance by enabling the encoder

A new encoder was added in the 5.0.2.0 release which reduces the amount of overhead used by Web Services XML messages. Configuring the WBCS to use this new encoder (provided WBCS has been set up to use the Web Services communication method) improves the performance of the WBCS.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Registry Maintenance.
  2. Select this registry menu path:

    system/clocks/InboundFormatter

  3. Click Edit.
  4. Specify com.infor.wfm.webservices.clocks.LightFormatter in the Variable Value field.
  5. Click Save.
