Creating a clock reader for HTML clocks

For more information about clock reader setup, see the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.

  1. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Reader Organization > Readers.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Reader
    Specify the name of the reader.
    Description
    Specify a description of the reader.
    Reader Type
    Specify HTML.
    Reader Group
    Specify the reader group to which the reader is assigned.
    Reader Status
    Specify the status of the reader, such as OFF-LINE or ON-LINE.
    Reader Zone
    Specify the location or zone where the reader is located within your organization. Typically all readers belong to the same zone.
    IP Address
    Specify the IP address of the supported device that will access the HTML clock.

    If you specify Any IP address, then the reader can be used by all devices on the network.

    Time Zone
    Specify the time zone in which the reader is located.
    Swipe Method
    For an HTML clock reader, select Default.
  4. Click Save.
