Non-Productive Hours Setup
When employees are not at work, they are considered non productive, and these hours are known as non-productive hours. Examples of non-productive hours are vacation, holidays, sick leave, and unpaid leave. Depending on corporate policy and local labor laws, employees are paid for some of these hours, and not paid for others.
- Hours when employees are neither working nor paid, such as unpaid leave, do not need to be tracked by the Budget Creation module, because there is no cost to the employer, so they are not included in the plan.
- In contrast, the Budget Creation module can use actual historical data for hours when employees are paid but not working to estimate the future cost of these non-productive hours.
The Budget Creation module identifies and estimates non-productive hours based on how you configure the time codes and hour types in the
for data that originates in the :- The Budget Creation module includes the specified time codes in its estimated cost of non-productive hours.
- The Budget Creation module excludes the specified hour types from this estimate.
Each type of non-productive hour maps to a column in the FCST_ITEM database, and is displayed on a column on the Worksheet.
The following table displays the default non-productive hours, the corresponding included time codes and excluded hour types, the corresponding column in the FCST_ITEM table in the database, and the corresponding column on the Worksheet.
